Pollock Earns ACDP Distinguished Service Award

How Can We Accurately Measure Stress in Patients with COPD?
DOM researchers investigated whether cortisol measured from nail trimmings could be a useful biologic measure for stress in patients with COPD. They found nail cortisol was not a reliable marker, suggesting that the relationship between stress and its biological consequences in COPD is complex and likely influenced by several unmeasured factors.
