    Employee Wellness Appreciation Month 2026

    Wednesdays in June 2026

    UAB Employee Wellness will be onsite in the Campus Rec Center lobby each Wednesday in June from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with healthy living handouts, the Wheel of Wellness and prizes and giveaways. My Health Rewards participants will earn 25 points each week they visit the Employee Wellness table.


    Aging of Eyes: What’s Normal and What’s Not? Webinar

    Tuesday, June 23, 12-1 p.m.

    Are your vision changes just part of aging or something more? Join UAB Eye Care for an engaging, easy to understand presentation that breaks down what is normal and what could signal a serious eye condition. Learn how to protect your sight, when to seek care, and the steps you can take now to keep your vision clear and healthy.     The Desk Survival Guide: Posture, Movement & Stress Solutions Webinar

    Monday, July 27, 12-1 p.m.

    If your workday revolves around a desk, this session is for you! Join board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Brian Riddle to learn how prolonged sitting affects your body, and walk away with simple, effective tools to reduce pain, improve posture, and incorporate movement into your daily routine. We’ll also cover quick stress-management techniques you can use anytime — right from your desk.

  • Park Passport

    Nearly 250 UAB employees explored the great outdoors, collecting more than 350 stamps from 135 different parks and outdoor destinations, during the UAB Employee Wellness Park Passport Challenge 2025. Railroad Park and Red Mountain Park were among the most visted locations, but the adventure didn’t stop there. Participants ventured across the U.S. and beyond — from national parks in Montana and Maine to city parks in Boston and Washington D.C., and even the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece.
