If the ground or building starts to shake violently:

·      Stay where you are.

·      Get under a desk or table or stand braced in a doorway.

·      Stay away from hazards such as chemicals in a lab, glass, etc.

When the shaking stops gather your valuables and evacuate the building

Do not use the elevator.

If mobility impaired or need assistance, call 911 from a UAB landline or 205-934-3535 from your cell phone.

Once outside, gather with the building occupants to determine if everyone got out.

Do not re-enter the building unless told it is safe by someone in authority.
