The Master of Arts in Education in TESOL prepares candidates for teaching English to adult language learners.

Coursework takes a minimum of 33 semester hours to complete and includes courses in second language acquisition, phonology for second language teachers, methods of teaching English as an international language as well as field studies, and a practicum. A program checklist can be found on the right, and course-specific information may be found in the UAB Graduate Catalog.
