The Master of Arts in Education in English as a Second Language is designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree in education and hold Class B certification in French and wish to obtain Class A Certification for teaching ESL and French.

Coursework takes a minimum of 42 semester hours to complete and includes courses in grammar and linguistics for ESL teachers, phonology for second language teachers, and foreign language methods, as well as an internship in ESL. Admissions Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with a minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Class B certification in French
