Kizzi is an AmericorpVISTA working at the IHR as community outreach coordinator, facilitating volunteer events for the institute within the Birmingham community. She started with the institute as a blog intern, received her B.A. in Anthropology from UAB and is a current graduate student in the Anthropology for Peace and Human Rights. Kizzi’s work focuses on cultural anthropology with an emphasis on marginalized and disinvested communities within Birmingham, AL.
