Betty Kihara is an international student from Kenya, pursuing a Masters in Anthropology of Peace and Human Rights. With a background in law having earned a bachelor’s of laws from Mount Kenya University in Kenya. Betty brings a strong foundation in legal principles and a passion for social justice, human rights and conflict resolution. In addition to this, she has undertaken various projects in Kenya, she volunteered with the Chaplin of Hope Community-Based Organization based in Nairobi, Kenya. She assisted in projects focused on youth safety awareness, crime prevention and promoting women and children rights. She actively helped vulnerable individuals navigate complex legal systems by providing legal aid in various prisons in Kenya. With a global perspective shaped by international education and experience, Betty aims to contribute to human rights initiatives that bridge legal and cultural understandings. In addition to this she aims to become a diplomat and engage in the United Nations and be in the academia field as a professor of human rights.
