Alysha Ho is a senior pursing her BS in Immunology with minors in Chemistry and Medical Sociology and is working on her Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Science with a concentration of Immunology. Alysha works in the Kamata lab with the focus of breast cancer brain metastasis. She is a volunteer with Big Brother’s Big Sisters and Equal Access Birmingham and is involved in leadership within UAB’s Alpha Xi Delta, URGE, and Leadership and Service Council. Alysha is passionate about addressing gaps in healthcare education and access within underserved and marginalized communities. Her interests include advocacy for reproductive justice, women and maternal health, youth mentorship, and people experiencing housing crisis.
