Hammered Dulcimer            Violin & Mandolin        Guitar & Mandolin

Rob Angus plays the

hammered dulcimer, banjo,

guitar and other stringed

instruments. The hammered

dulcimer is an instrument

which originated in the

Middle East in or before

Medieval times. It is

played by striking the

strings with small wooden

hammers-- an idea which

furthered the development

of the piano. The sound

of the hammered dulcimer

has been described as

something between a harp

and a harpsichord.

Mark Weldon has toured

professionally as a violin

and fiddle player with several

groups including Three-On-

A-String and as

a band member for country

star Mel Tillis. Mark's

outstanding musical

ability is not limited to the

violin. He also plays the

mandolin, guitar and cello,

writes original music and is

responsible for most of the

groupšs arrangements.

Mark's fiddle adds a

distinctive Celtic flavor

to the sound of the group.

Brant Beene and his classical guitar make up the bass and rhythm section of After Class. Brant plays mandolin and also contributes original music for the group's performances. His writing credits include a top ten country song recorded by Barbara Mandrell, music for advertising and documentary films. Brant also builds mandolins and guitars.
