Songlines Records is an independent jazz label based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. One of my top albums of 1997 is Yeah No by brilliant reedman Chris Speed (with Cuong Vu-tp); other outstanding titles include Dave Douglas' Tiny Bells Trio and a well-done quartet featuring the clarinets of Marty Ehrlich & Ben Goldberg (Light at the Crossroads). The specially priced Songlines Anthology is unique in that none of the tracks on it are duplicated on any other disc in the Songlines catalogue.
