Screwgun Records is a product of the fertile imagination of composer, alto and baritone saxophonist Tim Berne. Screwgun's initial release, issued in December 1996, was Unwound, a three CD set recorded live in Berlin (CDs 1 & 2, complete set) & Ann Arbor MI (CD 3). It won Cadence's Record of the Year award for 1997. These great CDs are available through all of the normal channels, with the exception of SC 70004, Saturation Point, which is available only directly from Screwgun.

1The Empire Box contains the first four releases of Empire Records but not the last, ...theoretically, which is still available from Germany's Minor Music. The Minor Music CD reissue contains a track that was not on the original Empire release.
