ABOUT THE SLDTF TOOLBOX
The State and Local Documents Task Force (SLDTF) Toolbox was created to serve the needs of librarians who work with state and local documents, whether their work involves cataloging of these resources, advocating better access to state and local government information, researching policy in such subject areas, working to digitize or to create a more electronic state or local government, or other related work. The actual role of the SLDTF Toolbox is to link to sources in an organized manner such that these disparate tools, spread over the Internet, and in print, become more useful to librarians seeking information in this subject area. Whereas GODORT SLDTF controls the organization and choice of links, the end sources are not necessarily under the control of SLDTF. Generally, the sources selected to be linked from the SLDTF Toolbox have been chosen based on relative stability and reliability. Suggestions for additional categories and linked sources are welcome and may be sent to Diann Weatherly at dweather@uab.edu .
