I just registered a BlazerID (phonebook e-mail alias) and applied for an eMail & personal web site account. PROBLEM:
Verify that I do have a DPO mailbox/web spaceIf all items say "YES" and your mailbox is on "norm.dpo.uab.edu" you are ready to proceed. If your mail box is on the UAB Cental Exchange server, mail.ad.uab.edu, click here. Otherwise return to BlazerID Central and register.
NOTE: If you are off-campus, you should set the SMTP server to whatever is recommended by your ISP. Click here for details.
SOLUTION:
Set up an account in Outlook Express 6.
From the ePhonebook page, click the red Change Password Icon. Or, click here.
From the ePhonebook page, click the red Change Information Icon, and enter your blazerid/alias & it's password then scroll down until you see "Real, host-based e-mail address:" and change the one there to the new email address. Scroll to the bottom and click 'Gray Change Button' then click end-session. Or, click here.
Set up Outlook Express 6 to read newsgroups.
