PROBLEM: How do I find my E-mail headers in Netscape?

User Services may ask you to send us your e-mail headers in order to solve one of the following problems with your NETSCAPE e-mail:

  • You are having some kind of trouble with e-mail delivery.
  • You want to lodge a formal complaint about an e-mail message you received.

SOLUTION:

First, open the e-mail message of interest. You will be using the menu commands along the top of the open e-mail message.
Under the menu item View, select Headers, and then All
You should see additional information appear within the message window.

Highlight all the text from Return-Path to Subject (that's the entire Header).

Under the menu item Edit, select Copy

Start a new e-mail message and Paste the headers into the message body.

Send the headers to UserServices@uab.edu, along with any additional information.
