PROBLEM:
What are these darn MS-TNEF attachments and how do I read them?
Are you receiving e-mail attachments labeled MS-TNEF, but you are not able to read these attachments? MS-TNEF stands for "Microsoft's Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format". Microsoft email programs can be configured to send a variety of attachment formats. If the person who sent you the message has their e-mail program configured to use a Microsoft-specific format such as MS-TNEF, and you are using Netscape or some other non-Microsoft email program, then you will not be able to read the MS-TNEF attachment. SOLUTION: Try using a little utility called Fentun. Fentun lets Windows and Linux users read MS-TNEF attachments. Software and installation instructions are available at the Fentun web site.. | ||
