PROBLEM: Where is Birmingham in relation to GMT?

Some e-mail programs and other software require that you set your timezone to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), a universally recognized time/location identification.

SOLUTION:

We are GMT -06, which is usually associated with Chicago and CST (Central Standard Time).
Note: The minus sign is part of the time, and must be included).
