PROBLEM: How do I reach the UAB LDAP server?

We are using Netscape's LDAP server to interface with the entries in the UAB Electronic Phonebook.

SOLUTION:

The LDAP service server name is

ldap.uab.edu

The search base or search root is: dc=uab,dc=edu

Port number 389

Maximum to return is: 25

NOTE: Error Messages When You Search the Outlook Address Book by Using a Full User Name

If you type a full user name in the Display Name field in the Find dialog box of your address book when you try to search a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server in Outlook, you may receive error messages.
