Network Time Protocol
NTP synchronizes
client workstation clocks on a computer. NTP sends periodic time requests to
servers, obtaining server time stamps and using them to adjust the client's clock.
UAB uses Stratum 1 network time servers using GPS as its timing source for general use NTP synchronization.
